The OSEP-funded Progress Center (promotingprogress.org) is hosting a free virtual program titled “Prepping for PROGRESS! Adding New Tools to Your Backpack (Toolbox) for the Start of School.” The purpose of the event is to assist teachers who are looking for resources and strategies to help prepare educators to promote progress for students with disabilities.
The Progress Center’s free two-day virtual learning event will be held on August 3-4, 2022. The event will focus on sharing information, resources, and lessons learned to support the development and implementation of high-quality educational programming for students with disabilities.
In this virtual event participants will:
- Hear from PROGRESS Center experts and stakeholder panels (David Bateman and Mitchell Yell will present on “Providing a FAPE: Lessons from the Due Process Hearing Front”)
- Join a strand focused on building better IEPs or preparing educators to support students with disabilities,
- Network with others working with students with disabilities, and
- Access concurrent sessions focused on implementation fidelity, belonging, family engagement, and special education law.
